  • Performs month end close to include:  financial statements, Work in Process and all balance sheet reconciliations.

  •  Acts as the liaison for the company to all external financial institutions and the CPA firm.  Ensures the annual review is done in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Handles all the Human Resource and Risk Management duties for a 20 person office staff.  Ensures the company is safety and OSHA compliant for a field staff of 150.

  • Performs all the financial statement work for 3 lease properties.


 

 Accounting Manager/Controller, GP&C, Gardner, MA                              2009-2011

GP&C is a manufacturing company (paper and film converter) with multiple locations and a subsidiary company with revenues of $60+ million.

            Supervised 6 administrative personnel:  Assistant Controller, Accounting Assistant, A/P Clerk, A/R Clerk, Inventory Analyst and Purchasing Manager

 

  •     Accomplished month-end close in a timely and accurate manner; executed all statements and covenants to the board of directors and financial institutions.

  •     Ensured credit worthiness of new and existing customers by analyzing credit history, cash flow and applying ratios, also ensured all sales brokers’ commissions were accurately paid on a monthly basis.

  •     Supervised the company’s monthly and annual physical inventory valued at $12+ million and ensured it was properly valued.

  •     Performed job cost analysis on machine and labor production to ensure all raw materials/work in progress/finished goods tied to sales and reported units produced.

  •     Assumed the duty of Human Resources Director and responsibility for all safety, benefit and all insurance programs for a company of 50-200 employees.  Managed the 401(k) and ensured the form 5500 was completed annually. 

  •     Supervised 20 construction supervisors to ensure all safety standards were maintained.  Monitored and administered a safety program that reduced the company’s Insurance Mod Rate to .90 from a high of 1.20, which saved the company $100,000 annually.

  •     Performed all IT in house activities and worked with an out sourced IT professional.

  •     Promoted to Controller from Assistant Controller in 2005.
