Assist Hospital Administration in project planning, budget development and budget control. Coordinate directly with each affected Hospital department in order to minimize the impact of construction activities on patients, visitors and employees. Develop Hospital Board presentations to obtain funding approval. Develop and monitor Project Cash Flow. Assist in the developent of the hospitals Master Planning efforts and Capital Planning. Responsible for managing and mentoring the Project Management staff (Sr. Project Managers, Project Managers and Project Engineers). Managment of the Project Management Staff, includes work load assigments and training. As part of the Leadership Team for the Real Estate Development and Planning department, I help develop and improve policies and procedures for our department. In addition to the management duties within our department, I am also responsible for the management of large capital programs and complex construction projects; from concept, budgeting and programming through to design construction and occupancy. Project Management Duties include: Developing Design and Construction RFP’s, Selection of Architectural firms, Engineers and Consultants, Issuing contracts to Archtectual Design firms, Construction Managers contractors and subcontractors, Managing the project schedule, scope and budget, Coordinate inspections by regulatory agencies such as MDCH (Michigan Department of Community Health) and the BFS (Michigan - Bureau of Fire Safety), Coordinate construction activities with the various ancillary Hospital departments (Facilities Management, Security, Materials Management, Public Relations, Safety, Infection Control and Information Services) to insure projects are well planned and implemented.

Responsible for the planning, design and implementation of construction projects. Management of the largest campus expansion in 15 years. Duties include: Capital Planning and budgeting for capital improvement projects. Established Departmental policies and procedures for the development and implementation of capital programs from concept through to commissioning. Develop Design and Construction RFP’s for both on campus and Ambulatory projects. Selection of Architectural firms, Engineers and Consultants. Experience includes managing construction and renovation projects in 19 different Metropolitan Detroit hospitals and health facilities. Manged more than 150 projects totalling more than $50 Million.
