Job Description:
Kier Construction Corporation, a well established general contractor located in Ogden, Utah, is seeking a high energy, motivated individual for the position of Director of Business Development. Ideal candidates will have knowledge and experience in marketing and selling commercial and multi-family housing construction; the ability to generate new business opportunities, assess owner needs, and identify, recommend and sell a customized solution; a degree in related field with 3 to 5 years experience (or 10+ years experience), as well as excellent public relations, organizational, interpersonal and computer skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
In conjunction with the President and Chief Estimator, develop objectives and strategies in support of overall Corporate business development goals in assigned segments.
Perform and direct research and client contact to identify and prioritize potential markets and clients.
Perform client contact and networking to build and maintain relationships for continued business.
Prepare and implement business development action plans for targeted markets.
Meet client�s needs prior to contract execution. Provide advice, liaison, planning, etc., to prospective and current clients.
Work closely with owners, architects, engineers, city officials to bring projects to the contract signing phase.
Assist management and estimating with sales process and final close.
In conjunction with the President and Chief Estimator, direct and supervise the development of proposals, presentations and brochure materials.
Perform other duties and assignments as directed.
Requirements:
Four year college or university program certificate; construction management or marketing/business emphasis with three to five year or 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidate must have knowledge of construction process. Must have excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills. Must have excellent driving record.
