Job Description:
Parkstone Estate Homes is looking for an experienced CFO/Controller. Parkstone is a luxury, estate homebuilder serving the greater Houston area with strategic plans expanding beyond Texas. Parkstone currently has nine entities for accounting and tax purposes that encompass real estate, land development, software and home automation. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and join a seasoned team of professionals at an entrepreneurial company with a hands-on culture. The successful candidate will report to the company President and will be responsible for the following items:
All accounting and reporting for all entities
Overseeing the monthly financial reporting process, including monthly closings, operating analyses and detailed reporting to senior management
Managing and overseeing all federal and state tax reporting with outside tax professionals
Assess, develop, implement and maintain all necessary internal controls throughout the organization
Assess current processes and provide leadership to organization changes needed to provide a better flow of financial and accounting information
Act as a liaison to various banking institutions, forecast cash requirements for all entities and coordinate draw request to maintain adequate cash flow
Responsible for all human resources functions including payroll processing, tax reporting, policy development and implementation, benefits and insurance administration
Responsible for coordination and working with external auditors
Supervise accounts payable function consisting of one direct report and provide leadership towards additional value-added activities as determined by own initiative and senior management

Required:
Degreed in Accounting or Finance
Experience with Timberline Software
5+ years of experience as a Controller / CFO
5+ years of specific experience in project accounting
IT experience working with computerized accounting systems encompassing multiple divisions and / or locations. Verifiable experience in systems infrastructure and accounting platform implementation and integration
Possess the ability and willingness to grow as a leader and a manger. Willingness to lead by example and get into the details
Strong business management skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to balance business needs with solid financial controls
A hands-on, can do approach
Must be deadline focused with proven results in meeting reporting and accounting task on time. Must be excellent manager of time and resources in a multi-tasking, deadline driven environment
