Job Description:
The CHRO will primarily be responsible for:
- developing and leading a national HR Department that focuses on two core businesses, Tishman Construction and Tishman Hotel and Realty which consists of approximately 1,200 employees in more than ten offices and six hotels nationwide;
- developing HR strategy and executing related programs;
- providing leadership and support to top management on matters of policy development and strategic implementation of HR programs
- overseeing the continued development of staffing programs to meet company growth requirements including the centralization of the recruiting effort and reduction of outside hiring / search firm fees;
- assessing organizational capability, overseeing the creation of human resource planning methods, and identifying competency, knowledge, and talents gaps;
- overseeing the maintenance of a centralized employee information system that responds to internal needs and meets external reporting requirements;
- directing and developing daily HR operations including developing and mentoring current HR staff, overseeing the implementation of employee benefits plans, implementing a company wide training program, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal governmental regulations.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of fifteen years of increasingly responsible HR management experience at a senior level, having successfully managed and led a human resources department for a large organization. The desired candidate will have actively served as part of a senior management team in addition to having the demonstrated ability to think and consult strategically, influence business decisions, and play an integral role in the success of the business. The incumbent must be competent in traditional human resource functions such as organizational development, staffing, compensation, performance management, benefits, employee relations, training, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws is essential. A bachelors degree is required and an advanced degree is preferred. Experience in the construction, real estate, and/or hospitality industries is preferred.
