Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Develop scope of project.
Explore opportunities for development, including site selection or enhancements to existing projects.
Establishment and direction of project teams.
Coordination of outside resources (architects, consultants, engineers, and contractors).
Coordination of in-house resources (legal, asset management, design, and leasing).
Preparation approval and bottom-line responsibility for budgets and proformas.
Obtain approvals and entitlement from governmental entities.
Department store negotiations and approval.
Review all proformas and cash flow analyses.
Responsibilities for monthly updates to executives of status on all development projects.
Prepare other financial analysis.
Interview and hire new employees.
Act as liaison between asset management, finance, accounting, and the development departments on the projects status.
Represent development on inter-departmental projects (chargeable hours, lease tracking system, etc.).
Qualifications:
Bachelor�s degree required. Ideally, Architectural, Business Finance degree and/or MBA.
10 years shopping center development / project development. Ideally, Department store and/or big box relationships and entitlement experience
Overall understanding of all areas of development and operations
Ability to lead project team
Ability to manage staff
