Location:West Palm Beach, FL.
Estimated Cash Compensation: 200,000


Job Description:
General Construction Firm is searching for an experienced and accomplished Chief Financial Officer with a strong financial background who will assume responsibility for the operations and financial oversight of their rapidly growing construction company. Headquartered in West Palm Beach area, they are a recognized regionally as a leader in their field. By adding this critical level of leadership the Companys objective is to strengthen its management team and assure continued profitable growth. This position will have full accountability for Accounting/Finance, Administration, and Human Resources. He / She will report directly to the President of the Company.

POSITION DESCRIPTION GENERAL
*Work with the department heads to ensure efficient and effective operations within each department in the Company.
*Work closely with the President on financial management and strategic planning.
*Participate in industry associations and networking events.
*Ensure that all operations of the Company are executed in a fashion that will establish and maintain client relationships.
*Ensure that Company operations are cost-effective and that profit opportunities are maximized on all projects, resulting in an acceptable net annual operation income.

*The CFO shall work with the VP of Construction to ensure the following:
Timely and accurate cost reporting and monthly billing.
Effective management of change orders from subcontractors and to Owners.
A high level of quality control on all projects.
A constant focus on risk management throughout the operations of the company.
Licensing and registration are current in all states Company performs work.
Bi-annual bonus calculations are prepared for all program and commission based bonus plans.

FINANCIAL / ACCOUNTING The CFO shall manage with the Accounting Department to ensure the following:
*Effective management of all aspects of the accounting department from budgeting and reporting through policy and procedure conduct annual reviews for all accounting staff.
*All fiscal functions are in accordance with GAAP and the other advisory and regulatory organizations
. *The preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including Work in Progress schedules, receivables aging, projected billings and additional reports required by management.
*Effective project accounting, job cost reporting and monthly analysis of profit projections on every active project.
*Effective management of accounts payable and receivable and payroll functions.

*The CFO shall Assist with the oversight the following:
Banking relationship and line of credit.
Bonding relationship and line of bonding.
Evaluation company insurances, negotiating annual renewals and monitoring ongoing claims.
Management of Corporate investments consistent with the equity requirements and cash flow needs of the Company.
Preparation and monitoring of annual operating budgets for each department within the Company.
Conduct periodic detailed project audits to ensure client satisfaction and profitability.
Evaluate company benefits to ensure we are meeting the needs of the staff and the Company.
Fiduciary and administrative responsibility for Companys 401k Plan.
Preparation and supervision of annual audit by accounting firm, distribution of shareholder K-1's.
Timely filing of all state and local tax returns, estimates, registrations, and renewals.

QUALIFICATIONS
*Minimum of 10 years of construction management and accounting experience.
*Advanced knowledge of accounting systems and financial transactions; detailed understanding of design and implementation of internal controls; strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP; Timberline software experience preferred.
*Ability to analyze complex business / financial data and develop innovative solutions.
*In addition to being organized and detail-oriented, the successful candidate must have highly developed personal communication skills, both oral and written.
*Must be self-motivated and self-starting with ability to multi-task.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Masters Degree in Business Accounting, Finance or related field preferred. Certified Public Accountant.
