Job Description:
Because our culture thrives on a �team� process, we are looking for a Senior Coordinator rather than a traditional Director. The Senior Coordinator will direct the coordinated efforts of a team of 4-6 construction professional located in Cambridge and the UK. This is not your normal store construction experience. Whole Foods prides itself in their unique high-end d�cor that combines environmentally friendly construction materials with the elements of Feng Shui. You will partner with departmental food professionals who have a passion for food and bring that passion into their department designs. We desire individuals who are creative, positive and command great interpersonal skills.
The North Atlantic Region is looking for a Construction and Design Coordinator who will oversee design and construction for the North Atlantic Region. This role will lead the construction and design teams as they embark on high profile projects like Kensington, UK, Portland, ME and N. Reading, MA. This role will also support existing stores with remodels.
Must Have:
Ten years of grocery store or retail construction experience.
Experience with lease negotiations, site reviews, ability to write work letters and advise Regional President on issues with a lease.
Ability to prepare and track budgets throughout fiscal year.
Knowledge of grocery fixtures and equipment.
Ability to work with design consultants to facilitate development drawings and construction drawings in a timely manner.

Will Do:
Coordinate new store development and design and remodels for the North Atlantic Region.
Direct all phases of project management including: due diligence, schedule and budget development, planning and design and Economic Incentive Programs.
Coordinate design teams consisting of architects, engineers and other consultants to facilitate the complete design of new stores and remodels.
Negotiate construction exhibits with real estate team.
Perform on site inspections of new store sites and buildings to insure usability and compliance with lease and construction exhibits.
Facilitate communication between design and construction teams and store leadership.
Work with Regional Equipment Buyer to help streamline the buying process and maintain relationships with vendors.
Maintain excellent records of costs and build stores under budget.
Continue to grow and expand the �Store Care� function of the store development team.
Develop, lead and mentor store development team.
