Maverick Engineering is looking for a Business Development Manager responsible for selling our engineering, procurement and construction management (EPC and EPCM) services to owners of Upstream Oil & Gas facilities and Regulated Pipelines and a Business Development Manager responsible for selling our engineering, procurement and construction management (EPC and EPCM) services to owners of Refineries & Petrochemical plants.
The Business Development Manager drives sales revenue by building a relationship with key players in their accounts; penetrating the account at all levels and all subsidiaries; becoming a trusted advisor on EPC and EPCM services to meet the needs of their accounts; and maintaining an on-going account strategy for selling our services. The Business Development Manager should be an asset to their accounts by offering the Company' business solutions for project planning (FEL) and project execution management (EVPM). The Business Development Manager stays in total engagement with the account during the sales cycle while bringing in additional necessary resources from the Project Management, Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management teams. The position is based in our Houston offices and requires limited travel, associated with face-to-face client and prospect calls.
Responsibilities:
- Develops corporate contacts and cultivates relationships at all levels that enhances Company's position, which leads to developing new and incremental business
- Compiles account information including organizational structure (parent and subsidiaries), buying process, and competitive information to produce a prospective business report identifying potential business activities necessary to win client accounts
- Maintains regular contact with account base, and increases revenue from positioning and demonstrating our services, preparing appropriate proposals, and closing the sale
- Maintains close working relationship with Company personnel to know capacity of services and timing, as well as feedback concerns and requests from prospects
- Negotiates contracts, pricing and timing of services
- Generates, develops, manages, and communicates expectations within assigned accounts as well as increases scope of penetration within each account
- Qualifies new opportunities and prospects, dimensions the size of opportunities and articulates probabilities of closure
- Provides market feedback and prepares yearly and multiple year account plans for each account based on short, mid and long-range plans
- Prepares competitive assessments and maintains broad knowledge of Company services and capabilities versus the strengths/weaknesses of competitive products
- Works very closely with Division Manager to service and maintain clients
- Maintains complete and accurate documentation of all activity
- Travel up to 20%
Requirements:
- Preferred candidate has established networks and relationships
- Personal sales responsibility for new client revenue
- Proven track record of selling EPC and EPCM services to specified industries (Refineries & Petrochemical plants and Upstream Oil & Gas facilities and Regulated Pipelines)
- Proven track record of meeting quarterly and annual sales, and profitability objectives
- Proven track record of selling to executive, mid- and field level customers
- 7 years selling to Fortune 500 Accounts
- 5 years selling as a Strategic Account Manager
- MBA or Bachelor' degree in engineering, business or marketing
