In addition to Construction Manager / General Contractor (“CM/GC”) project experience, have had significant experience leading and overseeing Self-performed Operations, corporate trade labor forces, and related equipment division. Oversaw and directed all Company related Labor matters for well over a decade.



Art Institute of Chicago, Modern Wing

  • Designed by world-renowned Italian Architect Renzo Piano

  • Preconstruction services assignment with international team on $300M+ project

    Collaborative design and constructability workshops managed in Paris, France & London, England

  • Oversight & analysis of physical mock-up built in Turin, Italy

  • Led CM team providing constructability analysis, logistical planning, labor requirements and jurisdictional reviews, scheduling, value engineering and estimating services

Museum of Science & Industry, U505 Submarine Underground Pavilion

  • Facilitated the enclosure and preservation of the historic 700 ton WWII submarine

  • Built entirely below grade and directly across from Outer Drive of Lake Michigan including Architectural Cast-in-place concrete walls and buttresses, monolithically poured – 40’ high

Millennium Park, Crown Fountain

  • Unique fountain designed by contemporary Spanish Architect Jaume Plensa

  • Features 2 twin 50’ Waterfall towers with LED displays projecting images through glass brick surrounds

Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago

  • Highly detailed structure designed by noted German Architect Josef Kleihues

  • Built within exacting tolerances, with multiple clear-story galleries

  • 300-seat auditorium and a unique facade

  • Set on a 2-acre urban canyon site in the heart of Chicago’s Gold Coast

Early experience working in the construction trades prior to and between school years as a mason-tender and journeyman Carpenter. Joined W.E. O’Neil Construction Co. (an ENR top 100 CM/GC firm) in March, 1980.
