Skilled in most phases of power and control wiring below 600 volts, I have had the opportunity to work with the design and installation of complex systems in a wide variety of situations. I am qualified to troubleshoot complicated systems and have the tools and experience to work in a commercial or industrial factory setting. Commercial/Industrial installations are a large part of my experience. I'm trained as a layout man and pipe bender, both rigid and EMT and have experience with 200-2000 amp services and switchgear. I have conducted infrared inspections, installed power factor correction, and designed and installed energy management systems. I operate most shop equipment and can weld (Arc and Mig). I have mechanical experience working with Pneumatic valves, cylinders, cylinder switches, prox. sensors and photoeyes, primarily on conveyors, packaging and wrapping systems. I have some hydraulic maintenance time as well on Injection Mold and Blow molding machines-(milk jug, milk crate, plastic grocery bags). Some of my time has been spent designing and installing Relay and Motor control circuits for small and large scale PLC driven machinery & conveyors. Currently I own 2 PLC's. I have experience installing Variable Frequency Drives and replacing motors. I've both designed and built control panels for conveyors and automated machinery. Computer room wiring, power and data with Cat 5-6 & fiber optics, are among my specialties as well as HVAC RTUs. I have made and can solder circuit boards. I am good with control wiring. I am computer literate and run Win XP at my home in Wright City. I have had occasion to work in an electrical contractor's office (AMF Electric-John Frisella) assembling bids and material lists, dealing with sales representatives, supply houses, clients, etc... 1997 was the year I graduated a 2 year course given by the I.E.C. which I attended at night to supplement my general knowledge as a Journeyman Electrician. My passing grade was recorded at 97%. In May of 2009, I was an Electrical Instructor at Vatterott College, O'fallon MO. for Commercial-Industrial students and built a motor control lab with emphasis teaching motor controls and relay control logic. In October of 2009, I decided teaching was not for me and I left Vatterott. The Program Director, Dennis Pierce, will document my work there. I have been and am a competent Maintenance Electrician. I worked at Hussmann 20 years ago learning control wiring and fixing machines that broke down. Control wiring, design/build, and troubleshooting are a specialty I consider interesting, along with commercial and industrial construction & light-weight estimation. I have supervised small groups, up to 6 workers. Currently I am studying Harmonics, aquiring the data to identify them and implementing a plan to fix the problems. Interesting work. I am now self-employed as KY Electric. My experience is wide ranging and I am flexible. My training and exposure to varied situations has allowed me to think and focus in logical and precise sequences of operation. If you want an experienced, qualified, well-rounded man, consider calling me. Thank You for your time. Call or E-mail to set up an interview: Ken Yanczer 314-452-6500 cell kyanczer[at]gmail.com
