Executive responsible for the construction of High-Speed Train Lines (Florence-Bologna, Bologna-Milan) with a total value of over 6 billion Euro including a 430 million Euro train station/retail complex, 85 km of bored tunnels, 30 km of viaducts, central and wayside computerized control/data centers.
Among my responsibilities were:
Management of all design, construction and permitting consultants.
Managing relationships with local, Regional, and National Government entities.
Managing global Architects (Foster + Partners, Calatrava) in order to achieve financially acceptable and constructible designs.
Review all requests for contractual variations from contractors/consultants.
Responsible for budget and programme of works.
