The President/Chief Executive Officer reports to the CEO of Ambre Energy North America and is responsible for the development of the Project and thereafter sustained growth and profitability of the Gulf States Bulk Terminals through the timely and cost effective delivery of the projects and through on-going leadership in the operations phase.
The President/Chief Executive Officer will develop, in the first instance, the Owners engineering, environmental and construction team to ensure the projects are designed, engineered, constructed and commissioned on schedule, to the desired standards, in full compliance with all environmental, safety and regulatory requirements and within budget. Specific responsibilities include:
management of existing bulk handling operations; establishment and leadership of the Owners project team; finalisation of project execution plans; coordination of construction and environmental aspects of the Project; performance monitoring of the EPCM contractor and other contractors; performance monitoring of all permit conditions; accurate and timely reporting; ensuring the effective, efficient, environmentally responsible, safe and reliable operation of the marine terminal; managing employee relations; interfacing with local and state government agencies; engaging in business development to ensure long term operation and stability of the bulk terminal. The position of President/Chief Executive Officer carries responsibility for organisational performance.
The role of President/Chief Executive Officer requires an outstanding leader with successful experience in managing major multi-disciplinary projects and in the leadership of operations. Tertiary qualifications in engineering and/or project management are essential, along with a strong commercial orientation. The appointee will possess personal qualities of commitment and drive, together with the interpersonal skills to work with a range of stakeholders and to interact effectively with the EPCM contractor and other contractors.
