SAN FRANCISCO ? Architecture firm Gordon H Chong & Partners announces the promotion of eight staff members from its San Francisco office and four from its Sacramento office to its associate partner, senior associate and associate ranks.
Promotions in the firm?s San Francisco office include two new associate partners: Eric R. McKinney, AIA, and John Sealander, AIA, ACHA. Kyle Elliott, AIA, was named senior associate, and the following were named associates: Kyle Glenn, John Lyon, Joseph Marshall and Wright Sherman.
In the firm?s Sacramento office, Louis Kaufman, AIA, was promoted to associate partner. Richard Tannahill, AIA, and Christopher Wilson, AIA, were named senior associates. Laura Morgan was named associate. The promoted staff members join the firm?s leadership of five partners, 10 other associate partners, five other senior associates, and 19 other associates.
McKinney is the firm?s Chief Information Officer and has more than 16 years of professional experience, 15 of them at GHCP.
Sealander is a Project Director with nearly 25 years of professional experience, primarily in the field of healthcare facility planning and design.
Elliott has been with the firm four years and has a total of 15 years of experience. He brings expertise to a wide range of institutional commissions ranging from the design of science, research and healthcare facilities to transportation and parking structures.
Glenn is a project director who joined the firm in 2000 to help manage the landmark California Academy of Sciences commission.
Lyon, who joined the firm in 2001, has eight years of experience in the planning and design of healthcare facilities.
Marshall has nine years of design experience in a variety of project types including commercial, medical and institutional.
Sherman has 12 years of design experience managing highly complex projects including transportation and other municipal commissions.
Kaufman is a senior designer with 18 years of international experience on a variety of project types. He has provided senior-level design and management for a number of large healthcare, entertainment and office projects in California and abroad.
Tannahill, hired in December 1997 as the first staff member in the firm?s Sacramento office, has 13 years of experience in the design of new and remodeled medical facilities.
Wilson is a project architect with 30 years of experience. He has worked on numerous projects in the Sacramento area, including an award-winning elementary school, civic buildings and mixed-use parking structures.
Morgan, who joined the firm in 1998, has 19 years of experience in administrative support, information systems and office management.
