PHOENIX--March 28, 2002--Ken Bock has been promoted to vice president of business development for Perini Building Co. He is responsible for establishing business development objectives, researching market trends, attaining new project opportunities and negotiating contracts. Perini Building Co. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Perini Corp. (AMEX: PCR). According to Dick Rizzo, chairman of Perini Building Co., "Ken was selected for this position because for the past 18 years at Perini, he has been involved in the construction process as well as the negotiating process for complex, fast track projects with budgets that exceed $50 million." Previously, Bock was vice president of lodging and gaming for Perini. In that position, he was responsible for providing preconstruction, technical and master-plan services programmed to the needs of each client. Perini is ranked in the construction industry as the largest builder of hotels and casinos in the country. Bock has played a key role in the company's success in this niche market. Preconstruction services led by Bock include Caesars Palace, MGM Grand Detroit, the billion dollar Mohegan Sun, Harrah's Las Vegas, Luxor Hotel and Casino, and the Flamingo Hilton. Other positions held by Bock are director of preconstruction and director of conceptual estimating. Bock has been with Perini since 1984. He has an associate of arts degree in architectural/structural design from Linn Technical College in Maryland. Perini Building Co. has offices in Phoenix; Las Vegas; Framingham, Mass.; Atlantic City, N.J.; Detroit; and is opening an office in Orlando, Fla.
