FRAMINGHAM, Mass--Sept. 4, 2002--The Board of Directors of Perini Corporation (AMEX: PCR) today announced the election of Bonnie R. Cohen to the Company's Board of Directors. Ms. Cohen is principal of B.R. Cohen Consultancy in Washington, DC. According to Ronald N. Tutor, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, "Bonnie's extensive operations and management experience in U.S. Government agencies will further strengthen the Board's oversight capabilities for government contracting." From 1997 - 2000, Ms. Cohen served the U.S. Department of State as Under Secretary of State for Management responsible for all operations of the 250 embassies in 165 countries. Prior to joining the U.S. Department of State, Ms. Cohen served the U.S. Department of the Interior from 1993 to 1997 as Assistant Secretary for Policy, Management and Budget. Ms. Cohen graduated from Smith College and earned an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration where she is currently on the visiting committee. Ms. Cohen has been a financial consultant and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Cohen and Steers Capital Management, Inc. and numerous non-profit board memberships.
