Granite Construction Incorporated Announces Executive Promotions

WATSONVILLE, Calif., June 10-- Granite Construction Incorporated (NYSE:GVA) today announced promotions of several executives.
James H. Roberts has been named Senior Vice President, Branch Division Manager. Roberts has been with the Company for twenty-three years and formerly held the title of Vice President, Assistant Branch Division Manager. Roberts holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from the University of Southern California. Roberts replaces Mark E. Boitano as Branch Division Manager. Boitano will continue to serve as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Mary G. McCann-Jenni has been named Vice President, Controller & Assistant Secretary. McCann-Jenni joined Granite in 1997 as Assistant Controller, coming to the company from Coopers & Lybrand, LLP, and most recently held the title of Controller and Assistant Secretary. McCann-Jenni holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from San Jose State University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Darryl W. Goodson has been named Vice President, Assistant Manager of the Heavy Construction Division. Goodson has been with the Company for fifteen years and previously held the title of Heavy Construction Division Western Regional Manager. Goodson holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from California State University at Fresno and a Master of Science Degree in Construction Engineering and Management from Stanford University. Michael Donnino will continue to serve as Vice President, Assistant Manager of the Heavy Construction Division alongside Goodson.
Randy J. Kremer has been named to the new position of Vice President, Manager of Construction Materials for the Branch Division. Kremer has been with the Company for thirty-one years and previously held the title of Branch Division Plants Manager. Kremer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology/Construction Management from California State University at Sacramento.
