KB Home Names Derrick Hall Vice President of Communications

LOS ANGELES, -- KB Home (NYSE: KBH), one of the nation's largest homebuilders, today announced that Derrick M. Hall has joined the company as vice president of communications, and will oversee all strategic external communications, public relations and national media efforts. The new position will report to Wendy Marlett, Senior Vice President, Marketing.

Prior to joining KB Home, Hall was senior vice president of communications with the Los Angeles Dodgers. In this position, he was responsible for creating and implementing all communications strategies for the organization, as well as serving as official team spokesperson, overseeing public relations, broadcasting, community affairs, publications, government affairs and external affairs. In addition to his 12-year career with the Dodgers, Hall has worked as an on-air journalist at numerous media outlets, including NBC News Channel 4 in Los Angeles, XTRA Sports 1150, and the Los Angeles Dodgers Radio Network. Since 2001, Hall has also served as an adjunct professor of journalism at the University of Southern California.
