NEW YORK, March 15 - Lend Lease promoted Peter A. Marchetto, 47, to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer of Bovis Lend Lease Americas, one of the world's largest construction management firms,effective immediately.
Mr. Marchetto joined New York-based Bovis Lend Lease in 1979 as the first employee of then Lehrer McGovern. Most recently, he has been President of Bovis Lend Lease Americas Northeast Central region, which included offices in New York City, Ithaca, Princeton, Boston, Chicago and Columbus. In Mr.Marchetto's career at Bovis Lend Lease, he has concentrated on incorporating fast-track methods for building complicated projects within strict schedule and budget guidelines, and has demonstrated an ability to manage virtually all phases of pre-construction and construction. Examples of projects Mr.Marchetto was directly involved with include the renovation and restoration of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and Grand Central Terminal in New York, the new Time Warner Center in New York and the management of the clean-up at Ground Zero after the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
A graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in Architectural Engineering, Mr. Marchetto has a long history of giving back to the community through his participation with charitable organizations including the Boy Scouts of America and Junior Achievement. Commenting on the appointment, Ronald W.
