LUIGI DIGESO NAMED GENERAL MANAGER OF MAPEI, INC.
Deerfield Beach, Florida ? Today Nicholas DiTempora, President of MAPEI Americas announced that Luigi DiGeso has been named General Manager of MAPEI, Inc. of Canada, effective January 1, 2004. MAPEI, an international giant in the manufacture of flooring installation systems and concrete restoration products looks to the MAPEI Americas group for nearly one third of its annual revenues of over 1 billion euros, and the Canadian contribution is a significant one. DiGeso will assume complete responsibility for all sales, operations and administrative functions in Canada.
?This is a tremendous responsibility and a significant challenge,? says DiTempora, ?and I am confident that Luigi is more than qualified to lead MAPEI, Inc.? DiGeso began his career with MAPEI in 2000 as Regional Sales Manager. In 2001 his responsibilities were expanded to include management of the Laval, Quebec facility. He took on additional duties when he was promoted to Sales Director for all of Canada and again when MAPEI purchased Chembond. Prior to joining MAPEI, DiGeso held several senior level sales and marketing positions with General Motors in Canada, in addition to ownership positions in other business ventures. He is a graduate of Concordia University.
