Hill International, Inc., the worldwide construction consulting firm, announced today that Transportation Construction Services, Inc., a wholly-owned Hill subsidiary, has hired Steven Friedlander as a Vice President. Friedlander, who will be based in TCS's Philadelphia office, will be involved in providing project management services to clients in the transportation industry.

Friedlander has more than 35 years of experience in transportation planning, engineering, and project management. Prior to joining TCS, Friedlander was Vice President at DMJM+Harris, an engineering and construction management firm, where he was responsible for managing the national systems engineering practice for that firm's Transit Rail Group and was the principal-in-charge of that firm's New Jersey infrastructure business. Prior to that, Friedlander was a Vice President with Day & Zimmermann, Inc. where he managed that company's mass transit consulting business. Friedlander earned his B.S. in mechanical engineering from the City College of New York, his M.S. in operations research from New York University, and his M.B.A. in Financial Management from Drexel University.

"Steve is one of the leading transportation experts in the U.S., and we are looking forward to his contributing to the continued growth of our transportation consulting practice," said David L. Richter, Vice Chairman of TCS and President of Hill's Project Management Group.

Hill, headquartered in Marlton, NJ, provides construction claims consulting and project management services through 16 offices worldwide. Hill's largest clients include the New York City Department of Design and Construction, Merck & Co., Inc., the Abu Dhabi Public Works Department, the Tampa Bay Water Authority and the Smithsonian Institution. Engineering News-Record magazine recently ranked Hill as the 14th largest construction management firm in the U.S.
