PLANTATION, Fla.--Nov. 26, 2003--Al Petrangeli, President of Centex Rooney Construction Company, is pleased to announce the following promotions:
Doug Wells has been promoted to Operations Manager supporting the Fort Myers office. Doug earned a bachelor of science degree in Construction Engineering Technology from the University of Southern Mississippi. He has more than 28 years of experience in the construction industry. Doug joined Centex Rooney in 1990 as a project engineer, and was later promoted to project manager and senior project manager. He is a certified building contractor in the states of Florida and California. In his new role, he will oversee all projects in Lee, Collier and Charlotte counties.
Bernie Milhausen has been promoted to Operations Manager supporting Broward County and retail operations. Bernie earned a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration from Shepherd College. Bernie has more than 18 years of experience in the construction industry. Bernie began his career at Centex Rooney in 1994 as a project engineer. He has served as a senior estimator and moved through the ranks as project manager and senior project manager. Currently, Bernie is located in the Plantation office and is overseeing projects for Publix Supermarkets, City of Hollywood, Broward County Libraries and Wannado at Sawgrass Mills Mall.
Joe Goss has been promoted to Operations Manager supporting Orange County operations. Joe earned a bachelor of science degree in Building Construction from Purdue University. Joe has more than 17 years of experience in the construction industry. He joined Centex Rooney as a project engineer after graduating college in 1986. Joe has served as assistant project manager, project manager and senior project manager during his tenure at Centex Rooney. Over the past eight years, Joe has worked on seven projects for Orange County Public Schools. Currently, Joe is overseeing Hunters Creek Elementary School and West Orange/Apopka High School. In his new role, he will continue to oversee the Orange County Public School account.
