Orleans Homebuilders Makes Fortune Magazine's Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies List

BENSALEM, Pa., Aug. 26 -- Orleans Homebuilders,Inc. (Amex: OHB), one of the largest residential builders in the Delaware Valley, was named again as one of the country's fastest growing companies byFortune Magazine in its September 1, 2003 issue. Orleans Homebuilders ranked 29th on Fortune's 100 Fastest Growing Companies list. To make the list,compiled by Zacks Investment Research, companies had to have at least $50 million in revenue over the past four quarters, a minimum market cap of $50 million, and annual sales and EPS (earnings per share) growth of at least 25% for three straight years. Total return to investors was also factored into the equation. Orleans had a three year annual rate of return to investors of 90% which was ranked 7th in the list of 100 Fastest Growing Companies. Orleans also had an annual growth rate for EPS and revenues of 48%and 33%, respectively. "Favorable conditions in the home building industry have led to increased home sales," stated Jeffrey P. Orleans, CEO and Chairmanof the Board.
