Beaverton, Oregon/September 9, 2002?The 2002 Timberline Summit, a new name for the annual Timberline Accounting Conference, will be held November 7-9 at the Oregon Convention Center, Portland, Oregon. Timberline (Nasdaq:TMBS) clients and invited guests are encouraged to register before the September 23rd early bird deadline for a $100 registration fee savings.
Controllers, CFOs, project managers, property managers, accountants, and other professionals will benefit from an expanded format of more than 150 sessions that will provide in-depth detail on the features and opportunities available with Timberline. Session topics will focus on accounting, reporting, inventory, purchasing, service management, and more, from the beginner level to advanced.
?Timberline's conferences not only provide our clients the chance to gain specialized software knowledge, but also give them the opportunity to address their issues and concerns directly with Timberline's development teams,? said Timberline President and CEO Curtis Peltz. ?These types of discussions are invaluable, as we continually look for ways to improve our client's businesses by improving our products and services.?
Individual session highlights will include discussions on how Timberline's newly released Project Management, Buyout, and Address Book will make dual data entry obsolete and more closely tie together accounting, estimating, and project management teams. Also, for the first time at a fall conference, Timberline will host an estimating primer, for estimators and non-estimators alike. Clients can also learn about Timberline's new Technical Support Knowledgebase for a simplified level of customer support.
Also new this year is a featured track of sessions dedicated to ProHome?, powered by Timberline, a management information tool for the production home builder. Included will be sessions on new and enhanced ProHome products and a special presentation, ?The Road to Superior Profits,? by Chuck Shinn of the Lee Evans Group, one of the nation's leading home building consulting firms.
In addition, a special management track will provide topics on business improvements such as business planning, management, contracts, and process analysis. Sessions will be led by invited experts in their respective fields.
For all sessions, Continuing Professional Education (CPE) certificates will be available to attendees wanting to apply for continuance credits.
Rounding out the conference program will be industry roundtables, organized by the Timberline User's Group (TUG). Participants can join Timberline staff, consultants, and their peers to exchange ideas and discuss industry-specific topics. Conference participants will also have ample opportunity to network with their peers and meet informally with Timberline staff during seminar breaks, luncheons, and an evening reception.
