CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 8 -- National Gypsum Company, one of the world's largest producers of gypsum wallboard, has been recognized as one of America's Safest Companies by Occupational Hazards magazine.<p> Headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., National Gypsum operates 31 plants,4 paper mills, 8 mines and quarries, and 2 research facilities.
