ONM&J Expands in Florida and Provides Statewide Professional Construction Management Services

(ORLANDO) ? O?Donnell, Naccarato, Mignogna & Jackson, (ONM&J), a national Structural Engineering firm, recently expanded its operations in Florida, and now has offices in both West Palm Beach and Orlando. This move, and the significant addition of technically trained staff professionals, has allowed ONM&J to position itself as a leader of professional construction management services throughout the state of Florida.

Bill Mignogna, P.E., President of ONM&J states, ?Owners of buildings under construction face complex challenges today due to high construction costs and interest rates, as well as public scrutiny of wasteful spending. It is important that clients understand professional construction management, and the important benefits to them in terms of cost savings, proper scheduling, workflow and communication. As a professional design firm assuming an independent position in the construction process, and reporting directly to the owner, the construction manager provides ?sole source responsibility.? Offering the latest information, techniques and computer programs for planning and managing the project, the construction manager is responsible for coordinating the design and construction phases of the project and acting as liaison between the building?s owner, contractor and architectural/engineering team.?

Dwayne Jackson, Principal of ONM&J, agrees to the importance of having a professional construction manager on site. ?People often ask me to state the benefits, and I?m happy to-- but I feel it is far better coming from such clients as Leonard Rubin, City Attorney for Palm Beach Gardens, who upon completion of our construction management contract for their $20M New City Hall project, stated,
?Without you on board, the City would have faced a daunting task?Out-of-town architects, multiple phases of work, and maintaining governmental operations, made this a logistical nightmare. Your assistance was invaluable and we thank you for your wisdom and professional guidance through the project.?

ONM&J is one of the State of Florida?s largest structural engineering firms, and is annually responsible for providing services for projects with construction values in excess of 700 million dollars.
