Parsons Appoints Peters as Corporate Head of Safety

PASADENA, Calif.--Aug. 11, 2003--Parsons announced today that it has hired Andrew D. Peters as Corporate Vice President, Safety. In this newly created position at the firm's corporate headquarters in Pasadena, California, Mr. Peters will report directly to James F. McNulty, Chairman and CEO. Peters will have worldwide responsibility for the corporation's safety and loss prevention programs.
Commenting on the new position, McNulty said, "Parsons continues to win mega program management assignments. All of our selected subcontractors must have effective, coordinated safety and loss prevention programs to ensure a workplace that is as safe as humanly possible during design, procurement, and construction. Safety is our number one priority. The new corporate position provides additional oversight over the existing safety capabilities residing in all of our global business units."
Mr. Peters brings to Parsons over 25 years of experience in safety management, loss prevention, and human resources from the mining, heavy construction, and construction equipment industries. Peters is active in several national safety organizations and holds a Master's degree in Personnel Administration and Labor Relations from St. Francis College and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University.
