HOUSTON--Aug. 13, 2003--Senior industry executives are slated to share insights on the future of capital project execution and economic trends affecting the engineering and construction sector at the Engineering & Construction Contracting Association's 35th Annual Conference, Sept. 4 - 5. Held at The Phoenician Resort, Scottsdale, Ariz., the conference is for anyone leading and managing capital projects in virtually any industry.

Ed Galante, senior vice president, Exxon Mobil Corporation, is scheduled to share views on future energy trends and challenges of relations among purchasers, contractors and suppliers. David Swain, executive vice president, Boeing, will discuss design engineering innovations the aerospace industry is using which could potentially transform ways other industries plan and run capital projects. David Wyss, chief economist, Standard & Poors, will explore the question of if and when recovery is coming. Wyss is scheduled to relate what markets think about the engineering and construction industry and provide insight on economic trends.

The thought-provoking keynote addresses exemplify the conference theme, "Getting it RIGHT...Upfront!" which emphasizes front-end loaded planning to more effectively manage risk and improve execution of capital projects. The conference also offers informative panel presentations, forums and a lively point-counterpoint session as well as networking opportunities.
