Vinod Kapoor Named Vice President of Lincoln Electric's Cleveland Operations

CLEVELAND, - Lincoln Electric Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: LECO) has appointed Vinod Kapoor as Vice President, Cleveland Operations. Previously, Mr. Kapoor was director of manufacturing operations for the Company. In his new position, Mr. Kapoor will have overall operations responsibility for the Company's machine and consumables divisions. In addition, he will continue to manage several other key functions, including customer support, production planning and control, supply management and manufacturing engineering. Since joining the Company in January 2000, Mr. Kapoor has played a major role in updating and vastly improving manufacturing at the Cleveland operations, as well as coordinating and leading manufacturing rationalization initiatives at Lincoln Electric's Canadian and Mexican operations. His extensive manufacturing management experience includes more than 25 years of service with domestic and international organizations where he successfully transformed manufacturing operations using Lean Manufacturing/Total Quality Management techniques. He holds a master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from Northwestern University.
