WASHINGTON, July 15 /- David W. Hewett, CCIM, CPM, RPA, CFM, FMA, of Beaverton, Oregon, Alliance Director for Trammell Crow Company Global Services, Auburn Hills, Michigan, has been named Vice-Chairman of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International, commercial real estate's leading advocacy group. Elections took place at the association's Annual Conference and The Office Building Show(R) held recently in San Francisco. Mr. Hewett's term runs through June 2004. A member of BOMA/Detroit and BOMA/Portland Metropolitan, Mr. Hewett has been a BOMA member since 1986. He served as a member of the Executive Committee of the international association before moving up to his current post and has also served as regional president of BOMA's Pacific Northwest Region, chairman of BOMA International's Education Committee, president of BOMA/Portland Metropolitan and president of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) chapter #29. Mr. Hewett has been employed by Trammell Crow Company for seven years, and is currently responsible for an international portfolio for Comerica Bank, consisting of 5,500,000 square feet of office space, a staff of 70 employees and an annual budget of $100,000,000. Prior to his current position, he was responsible for the development and implementation of project management services to corporate customers. Prior to joining Trammell Crow, Mr. Hewett was a senior vice president and designated broker for Scherzer Real Estate Group, Inc., Portland, Oregon. Mr. Hewett earned his B.S. degree in business with an emphasis on organization management from the University of Colorado.
