Newell Cheatheam has been appointed publicity chairman of T.I.B.D., Texas Institute of Building Design,www.tibd.org the Texas Association of American Institute of Building Design. The organization has members that are professional building designers and other members of the construction trade. As state publicity chairman, Cheatheam provides publicity for the organization. Cheatheam has served on the board of directors on and off since 1974. Cheatheam has more than 34 years experience in the construction industry and building designing of custom homes and light commercial buildings. Cheatheam started Newell's Designs in 1971 and has won numerous national and state building design awards.
