Suitt Construction names Smith Development Director for Pharmaceutical Industry

June 17, 2003--Suitt Construction Co., a BE&K subsidiary, announced that Allen Smith has been named director of business development for Suitt Construction's pharmaceutical group and is responsible for selling the company's design-build, construction and construction management services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients across the United States.
Based in Suitt's office in Raleigh, his duties include managing existing clients and developing new accounts. Suitt serves a broad range of pharmaceutical industry sectors, including laboratories, pilot plants, primary and secondary manufacturing, warehouses, administrative facilities, and support facilities. Specific manufacturing areas of expertise include cell culture, fermentation, aseptic filling, oral dosage, and medical devices.
Smith is a veteran of 30 years in the engineering and construction industry. He resides in Clayton, N.C., and is a native of Siler City, N.C.
