Fluor Names David Marventano Senior Vice President, Government Affairs

WASHINGTON, -- Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) today announced the appointment of David Marventano as senior vice president, Government Affairs.
In his position, he will be responsible for the strategic development and management of Fluor's government affairs program and for advising Fluor management on matters relating to legislation and public policy issues of interest to Fluor.
In his most recent position as staff director of the Energy & Commerce Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives, Marventano was responsible for all legislative and political strategy focused on the promotion of commerce.
This committee's jurisdiction primarily extends over five Cabinet-level departments and seven independent agencies, including the Departments of Energy, Transportation and Homeland Security. Previously, Marventano held leadership roles on the staffs of Reps. Billy Tauzin and Bill Paxon, as well as worked for the Securities Industry Association as its vice president and senior director for Government Affairs.
Marventano holds a bachelor's degree from State University of New York, Oswego, and a law degree from Union University, Albany, N.Y.
