The Board of Directors of J.A.Jones, Inc., an international construction, engineering and management services company, announced today that it has accepted the resignations of Alfred V. Neffgen, President and Chief Executive Officer, and James A. Bowden,
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Both executives have notified J.A. Jones, Inc. that they have elected to pursue other professional opportunities.
Effective immediately, J.P. Bolduc, a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Corporate Restructuring Committee of the Board of Directors of J.A. Jones, Inc., has been elected interim President and Chief Executive Officer. A new Chief Financial Officer has not been designated, as yet.
The J.A. Jones, Inc. Board of Directors has reaffirmed its commitment to proceed with its recently adopted restructuring plan for the company, which is supported by the company's senior bank group and its surety group. Mr. Bolduc has served for 10 years as a director for J.A. Jones, Inc. He was formerly the President and Chief Executive Officer of W.R. Grace & Co., a Fortune 100 company, where he managed a successful restructuring of that company. In addition he served as Chief Operating Officer of President Reagan's Private Sector Survey on Cost Control (The Grace Commission) from 1982 to 1986. He also served as a Presidential Appointee under Presidents Nixon and Ford.
