Builders FirstSource Announces Richard Chapman, Vice President - National Sales and Marketing

Builders FirstSource announced today the addition of Richard J. Chapman as Vice President - National Sales and Marketing. In this role, Chapman will be responsible for coordinating the company's sales efforts with national and large regional builders.
Chapman joins Builders FirstSource from James Hardie Building Products. He spent ten years with Hardie, most recently serving as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Prior to Hardie, Chapman worked in a variety of sales positions with Trussway, Inc. over a nine year period.
Floyd Sherman, Builders' Chairman and CEO commented "we are pleased to have an individual of Rich's caliber join our team. He was an integral part of building Hardie's dominant position in fiber cement over the past decade. We expect Rich will serve a similar leadership role at Builders FirstSource."
Chapman succeeds Alan Davenport, who was promoted to the position of President of the company's Central Group, the division responsible for Builders' Texas, Colorado and Midwest operations.

Builders FirstSource has 83 locations with 86 manufacturing facilities in 12 states, including truss plants, millwork fabrication facilities, wall panel plants, window fabrication operations, cabinet shops, stair shops, concrete plants, and synboard plants. 66 of the 83 locations also support distribution centers for lumber and building materials.
