Keystone Consolidated Industries, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: KESN) announced today the election by the board of directors of David L. Cheek as president and chief executive officer of Keystone. Mr. Cheek joined Keystone in 1999 and has served as president and chief operating officer of the Company since October 2001. Mr. Cheek has more than 30 years' experience in the steel and wire industry.
In announcing this promotion, Glenn R. Simmons, Chairman of the Board, stated, "David has done an outstanding job in a very difficult environment. His command of the business has been instrumental in helping Keystone overcome many challenges over the last couple of years, and we are looking forward to his leadership skills guiding us in a more positive period."
