Mickey P. Foret Joins URS Board of Directors

SAN FRANCISCO--April 1, 2003--URS Corporation (NYSE: URS) today announced that Mickey P. Foret has joined its Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Mr. Foret was most recently Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Northwest Airlines and Chairman and Chief Executive of Northwest Airlines Cargo, Inc., a subsidiary of Northwest Airlines that specializes in cargo transportation. From May 1998 to September 1998, Mr. Foret was a special projects officer of Northwest Airlines. He retired from Northwest in September of 2002, after having served at Northwest in a variety of corporate positions over the last 10 years.
Mr. Foret was President and Chief Operating Officer of Atlas Air, Inc. from June 1996 through September 1997. In addition, he has held senior management positions with Continental Airlines Holding, Inc. and KLH Computers, Inc.
Commenting on Mr. Foret's election to the board, Martin M. Koffel, URS Chairman and CEO, said: "Mickey has a broad range of corporate experience, which makes him an excellent addition to the URS Board of Directors. He has an impressive background in finance and accounting - including his tenure as CFO of a large and complex public company - and has served in a variety of top-level corporate positions. I am delighted to welcome Mickey as a new independent director."

Mr. Foret served in the United States Air Force as a Navigation Electronics Technician from October 1966 to July 1969. He earned B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from Louisiana State University.
