Recmediation, Inc. completed the DuPont Spelter Smelter Project (Spelter, WV) with 23,800 safe-man hours. The project was a multi-million dollar project that entailed leveling 33 buildings on a 112 acre parcel of land at a former DuPont Zinc Smelter. Hazards included dust contaminated with metals, which were decontaminated, and asbestos, which was abated. The project lasted approx. 6 months and was completed ahead of schedule and without incident.
