Augspurger Named Vice President at Paragon Engineering Services

HOUSTON--Feb. 12, 2003--Lewis H. Augspurger has joined Paragon Engineering Services Inc. as a vice president in the company's Houston headquarters. In this position, Augspurger is responsible for large front-end engineering and design (FEED) projects and management of strategic customer accounts.

"I have known Lewis Augspurger for more than 25 years and recognize that he is a valuable addition to our team," John Augustine, Paragon senior vice president, said. "He has overseen some of the largest front-end engineering design and project management initiatives for major industry players and will help Paragon meet the needs of our clients around the world."

Augspurger brings to Paragon more than 30 years of experience in engineering, project management and senior executive assignments for onshore and offshore oil and gas projects, both domestic and international. Most recently, he held vice president and senior project director positions with ABB Lummus Global and Halliburton's KBR division and was involved in engineering and design development projects for Sakhalin Island and deepwater locations offshore West Africa. He has extensive design, engineering and construction experience on oil and gas projects in the Middle East, West Africa, Asia, the Gulf of Mexico and onshore United States locations.

A registered professional engineer in the states of Texas and Louisiana, Augspurger earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Bradley University and a master of science degree in management from Houston Baptist University.

Paragon Engineering Services Inc. provides project management, engineering, design/drafting, procurement, construction management, inspection and training services to the oil and gas and pipeline industries. Paragon's expertise encompasses oil and gas production and treating, gas compression, onshore and offshore pipelines, onshore facilities, offshore platforms, floating production/storage and offloading facilities, subsea systems and safety and environmental management programs.

Recently cited as one of Houston's "Best Places to Work" by the Houston Business Journal, Paragon employs more than 950 people worldwide, including about 450 at its Clay Road, West Houston facility and another 500 in offices near Paris, operating under the name Paragon Litwin. Paragon Litwin's key capabilities encompass EPC onshore gas processing/treating facilities, compressor stations, production facilities, and cogeneration, refinery and waste-to-energy projects.
