Kuntz Named Chairman of the Board for the AGC, St. Louis

Kevin W. Kuntz, senior vice president of operations for McCarthy Building Cos., St. Louis, Mo., has been named chairman of the board for the St. Louis chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), Alexandria, Va.
Kuntz is a past vice-chair of the organization's executive committee.
"Kevin's extensive construction experience and commitment to the St. Louis community offers the AGC strong leadership and guidance for 2003," says Karl Kloster, president of McCarthy's Midwest division. "We are honored to have Kevin represent McCarthy in this capacity."
Throughout Kuntz's 20 years with McCarthy, he has served in a variety of positions including project engineer, assistant superintendent, project manager, corporate total quality management director, a role which he created, and project director. He has also served in management roles on projects such as the Washington University Law School, Bonne Terre Correctional Facility, Enterprise Leasing headquarters in Clayton, Mo., the new East Terminal at Lambert International Airport, and the Monastery for the St. Louis Abbey.
In addition to his work at McCarthy, Kuntz is a board member of the Construction Career Center in St. Louis, the first charter construction high school in the country, and participates with Habitat for Humanity. Kuntz holds a bachelor's degree in construction management and engineering from North Dakota State University.
