Katy, Texas. Award winning building design firm Newell's Designs associated with Polhemus Engineering Co. (www.newellsdesigns.com) of Katy, Texas has finished building design for the new facilities for Katy Christian Ministries(www.ktcm.org). The non-profit organization - KCM has over 25 churches that contribute support to their annual budget.
Newell's Designs and Polhemus Engineering Co. have completed plans for the 16,000 s.f. office building proposed to be built at Katy Fort Bend Road and Fifth Street, Katy, Texas. Fretz Construction Company, Houston, Texas is the general contractor for the project.
Newell's Designs is an award winning design firm winning numerous national and state design awards. The building will have a metal structure, stone, and hard plank exterior with stone gable entrances, with a country look exterior. The building will provide community services for administration, domestic abuse center, food pantry, social services, storage, tri county interfaith ministry, and public meeting rooms. This is just one building in the future long planning goals of KCM to meet the needs of the Katy Community and surrounding areas by bringing community services of KCM into one location.
Newell's Designs and Polhemus Engineering Co. has designed numerous commercial projects in Katy and surrounding areas for over 30 years. Newell Cheatheam, AIBD, CPBD, a certified professional building designer, licensed interior designer and president of Newell's Designs has been very active in numerous organizations, including Katy Chamber of Commerce, and Westland Baptist Church in the Katy area for over 24 years. Cheatheam said it has been exciting working with Katy Christian Ministries team in designing their future building facility to meet the needs of the Katy community and west Houston.
